Alida Roberts Supervision

Seeing Clearly Through Reflection

How We Can Work Together

Supervision with me is collaborative, thoughtful and shaped around your role and the environment you work in. I support SENCOs, head teachers, pastoral care staff, probation practitioners and both trainee and qualified counsellors in private practice.  Many of my supervisees work within schools, local authorities, community services and justice settings across Gloucestershire and the surrounding areas, and value having a confidential space to reflect on the emotional and organisational pressures of their roles.

Some supervisees need a space to think deeply about their work; others need support with decision‑making, boundaries or emotional impact. Trainees may require a different level of structure and guidance, and we will shape supervision together so it feels containing, encouraging and developmentally appropriate. I offer both individual and group supervision, creating a reflective space where you can slow down, process your experiences and make sense of the work you do.

What Can I Help With

I work with a wide range of experiences and difficulties that can make life feel heavy or hard to navigate.  These include trauma, bereavement, and pet bereavement — because I know that losing an animal you love can be every bit as heartbreaking as any other loss, and that grief deserves to be taken seriously.  I also work with low mood, anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, body image, low self-esteem, low self-confidence, and the lasting effects of bullying.

I work with both young people and adults, and whatever brings you here, you will be met with warmth and without judgement.

Workplace Support

Workplace struggles can quietly take over your whole life, and I have spent decades supporting people through exactly that. I have worked extensively with County Councils, Private Industry, and Government Agencies, and I regularly receive referrals from private health providers and employee assistance programmes (EAPs). Whether you are dealing with stress, conflict, bullying, or simply feeling lost in your career, I bring a great deal of experience and genuine understanding to that space.

Qualifications & Recognition

I am accredited by the UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy) and registered with BUPA, which means you can feel confident that you are in safe, qualified, and experienced hands.  These accreditations reflect my ongoing commitment to ethical, professional practice — but more than anything, my commitment is simply to you and your wellbeing.
